The GDP growth rate of Turkmenistan for four months of 2024 amounted to 6.3%
The growth rate of Turkmenistan's gross domestic product for four months of 2024 amounted to 6.3 percent. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan H. Geldimyradov announced this at a government meeting via video link.
According to him, compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of production increased by 11.4 percent, and retail trade turnover increased by 11.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
Also, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the revenue side of the State budget was fulfilled at the level of 102.6 percent, expenditure - 97.4 percent, and wages for large and medium-sized enterprises in the country compared to the corresponding period of 2023 for January-April are higher by 10.4 percent. «Salaries, pensions, government benefits and student scholarships are funded in a timely manner. Compared to the same period last year, in four months the volume of disbursed capital investments increased by 23.9 percent» –emphasized H. Geldimyradov.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to continue work aimed at further increasing the indicators achieved in January-April of this year. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to continue to carry out program activities to strengthen the economic potential of the country and improve the social and living standards of the population.
